Ow
I've been doing a bit of working out, on the theory that if I'm going to end up doing nothing all summer, I might as well try to get in a shape other than round.
But one of the exercises I've been doing has been causing me more pain than anything else: situps. My abs are so not happy with me that it's almost funny.
I used to be able to do a lot of situps when I was younger. I took Tae Kwon Do, and we did 40 situps and 40 pushups before every class, no problem.
Now, I'm trying to do 50 situps a day (a good number to start out with until my abs stop screaming, since it's not so many that I'll die in pain daily), and I can't even sleep on my side.
Granted, I've only been doing this for a few days, so hopefully the residual pain will die off soon. I might even (gasp!) get in shape.
But until then, I reserve the right to whine about how much this hurts.
